FILIPA ROSA

Filipa Rosa nasceu em Coimbra em 1980. Estudou no Kent Institute of Art & Design em Maidstone (UK) – (Fine Art Foundation, 1999) e terminou a licenciatura em artes plásticas (‘BA Fine Art’) na London Guildhall University em 2002. Em 2003, fez uma pós-graduação em ‘Digital Fine Arts’ no Tower Hamlets College (Londres) que a impulsionou para as artes digitais. Desde então tem trabalhado como designer de comunicação em diferentes áreas e para variados clientes. Acompanhou-a sempre, de forma privada, uma atividade artística que alia elementos das artes plásticas, do design gráfico e editorial, da fotografia e da escrita. Em 2022 conhece o Atelier de Lisboa, participa no workshop ‘O Acto de Caminhar como Metodologia e Prática Artística e Fotográfica’ com Martim Ramos e termina em 2024 o curso de Bruno Sequeira, ‘Projeto e Construção de um Livro’. Estes encontros dão-lhe a confiança e a motivação para mergulhar por completo no universo da arte e prosseguir os estudos universitários com o Mestrado de Fotografia na Universidade Lusófona de Lisboa.

Filipa Rosa was born in Coimbra in 1980. After the foundation year of Fine Art at the Kent Institute of Art & Design in Maidstone (UK), she completed the BA Fine Art course in 2002 at the London Guildhall University. In 2003, she made a post-graduation in ‘Digital Fine Arts’ at Tower Hamlets College (London) and since then she has professionally been working in different areas of communication design for a variety of clients. Although, in a private manner, an artistic activity has accompanied her, bringing together elements of the fine arts, of editorial and graphic design, photography and writing. In 2022 she discovers the Atelier de Lisboa and participates in the workshop ‘The Act of Walking as Methodology, Artistic and Photographic Practice’ with Martim Ramos. In 2024 she completes the course ‘Project and Photobook Creation Course’ by Bruno Sequeira. These encounters give her the confidence and motivation to dive entirely into the universe of the arts and to further pursue her university studies enrolling in a the Photography Master at Universidade Lusófona of Lisbon where she’s currently studying.
